Riding the Doghouse

Doug father worked as a truck driver. I chose this picture of a truck to represent his father.


 
This number was a symbol in the story because in the beginning when Doug first woke up because it was a storm outside and he couldn't sleep the clock said 3 A.M.





Once a year Doug vistied his father office, each summer he would go out on the road with his father for a week in the truck.


When they needed fuel they would stop at a truck stop an this is a picture of a truck stop at night time which is when they stopped.


 

This is a picture of Midnight because in the story there is another truck driver named Midnight.



When Doug father went in the gas station Doug went and got on his CB and he started talking to somebody named Midnight.


This was in the truck and this was one of the symbols in the story.

This is how the truck stop looked it was dark,empty, and quiet.



When he was sleeping he woke up because a storm was outside.

Blood

I wanted to choose a picture of a mole but I couldn’t find one so I chose the skull. I chose this mosaic because it represents death. The story Blood is about an older women coming into a pet shop looking for the blood of a mole to cure her son. The older women said that the blood of a mole can cure sick people. You only have to drink three drops of it. The only bad thing about it was that he didn’t sell moles in his store which means he couldn’t give her any blood of a mole. He didn’t want to tell the women that because he wanted to help her. The man goes to the back and cuts his wrist and put the drips of blood in a bag for the women. In my mosaic i put words like dark,creepy,pets,and blood.
